    Description

    Rare Punu helmet mask, hard wood with traces of kaolin and cloth rapped around plant fiber forming a ridge on top.
    The mask has the typical Punu face, but the helmet form is very rare.
    Made of very dense, heavy wood.
    The mask was designed to be worn on top of the head like a cap. 12 x 9 x 9 inches.
    Condition of piece as seen in photos; there are abrasions, chips and losses as to be expected in vintage used objects. See my other listing for additional African and Asian arts.
