Fresh out of an early Maine estate art collection.
As found, carved wooden mask with snakes, birds and inscription.  Estate
thought could be Native American - don't know if African, NA, South American or other - please see photos and make your own determination. A
ppears some type of hardwood.
Measures approximately 11 1/2" x 8 1/2'. Has a missing tooth, don't know if that was part of the design.
Un-researched. Unusual markings. Please see photos as to type and condition.
