Kuba tribal ceremonial mask made in the Democratic Republic of Congo - Africa
The mask was probably made in the 20th century.
It is carved wood, with a decorative tooled metal work covering most of the face.
There are some cowrie shells missing from the ridge that runs up the middle of the forehead.
There is a long jute? beard that measures about 12” long
The wood mask measures 13” x 8”
It is quite a beautiful piece of African art!
