    Description

    This auction is for the eleventh London Bridge Commemorative Dollar issued in October, 1981, by the London Bridge Rotary Club in Lake Havasu City, Arizona, also known as a Havasu Dollar.  It is 34 mm in diameter (the same size as the first Havasu Dollar) and was struck in golden bronze.
    Obv:  The obverse design marks the 10th anniversary of the Oct. 10, 1971, opening ceremonies in Lake Havasu City and shows the London Bridge's northwest side and the huge banquet tent placed on the bridge with the large hot air balloon used during the opening festivities.  "1831 London Bridge 1971/Lake Havasu City, Arizona"  (The date 1831 is the year that the London Bridge was dedicated and opened in London, and 1971 is the year it was dedicated and reopened in Arizona.)
